When it comes to tote bags there is just such a wide array of them. So it all comes down to what your into or what tote bag best matches your outfit or perhaps which bag is best for the occasion and weather elements that is your deciding factor.

From designer totes to even straw handbags one thing is certain and that is the modern woman demands her bags to be stylish and hip and not just plain bland and boring.

And far from boring are the totes being offered in todays market. You can literally have bags designed just the way you want them even have pictures printed on them of whatever you like, like perhaps your kids or pets or what have you. And with the speed of todays technology you can have your custom made bags in as little as just a few days.

Another trend that the market has seen in recent years is the clear transparent plastic bag. I am sure you all have seen them. They actually have been around awhile now but I think they are very cute and unique. They are completely transparent, everything that is inside your bag can be seen. You can forget about privacy with this kind of bag because all of your belongings will be visible to anyone that looks at it. And to not look at these types of bags is nearly impossible not to do. But I think using one makes a bold fashion statement in the fact that you don’t care that strangers can clearly see what your carrying and that you have nothing to hide.

And what about the straw tote? I’m sure you have used one of these before. Remember the last time you went to the beach? Of course you do! For sure you didn’t take your Fendi or Dior handbags at least I hope you didn’t, and I don’t believe you did if your reading this blog because I tend to think my readers have a fashion sense to begin with and if you don’t, well you need to get one fast. But anyway for those outings on the beach a cheap large canvas bag with some nice prints of flowers or an artsy design will do for most. Sure you will look good with one of these with all your stuff jammed in there but god forbid your using one of these bags with some kind of company promotional logo on it. Yuck! These canvas bags are notorious for being used by companies and organizations to promote products and events because they are cheap to manufacture in mass quantities. But I am sure none of my readers are making this fashion nightmare of a mistake. Of course not you chose a canvas bag with a nice print or nice solid color to match what your wearing because you have style right? what is even better than the canvas bag at the beach is the straw bag. For one it is the most appropriate for the conditions and is not a flimsy bag like the canvas is. Actually its the perfect outdoorsy bag for any event. Think about it for a second, of all the bags in your closet which is likely to withstand all the weather elements the best. Oh yeah, you’re right. I can hear you saying. Of course I’m right it’s your freakin’ straw bag. So come snow, rain or sunshine this one will weather the elements like no other. Not only is the perfect outdoor bag but most all of these type of bags are very fashionable with colors, designs and such. You rarely get one of these that is a complete dull of a bag fashion wise.

Tote bags made out of cloth and fabric are probably the least sought after by true fashionistas like probably yourself but there is still a huge demand for these types of bags and to not say that there is no good looking bags made out of these materials would be just irresponsible and downright condescending to say the least. Mind you not everyone can go step to their favorite designer store and go shopping for a bag that will be used for a gala later that same evening. But totes are really not for formal occasions but for rather just occasions per say. So when talking about just ordinary cloth totes what’s more to say about them? They are everywhere. Heck any store that dares to make the claim that they sell women’s clothing and accessories will have them in stock. Just because you don’t have the big bucks to drop on purses and handbags doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able pick out the chic looking bags that are made by no name manufacturers. What, with your fashion conscious trained eye you should be able to pick out the eye catchers from the duds. While we are on the subject of budget it’s worth to mention that there is just an absolute plethora of cheap handbags on the market from knock offs to the real thing but in the form of used designer handbags the bargains are out there the real challenge is not only sniffing out these deals but finding the most fashionable out of the sea of choices we have. Where and how to go about shopping for bargains shouldn’t need any explanation for most of the readers but I will cover it in further detail in a future post for everyone else that is unaware or is just looking for further information as I might know a thing or two about getting deals that you don’t already know.

Who needs a zipper or buttons on their handbag? Sometimes you just need easy access to your stuff and in this case a zipper would just be cumbersome and annoying to have to deal with. For example lets say your going to some kind of a event or such and you’re wearing shorts or jeans that have pockets where you can carry your small things and perhaps the event you are attending requires or lends its self to having to carry big clunky things that will be used sporadically through out the event. Would a bag with zippers and buttons be appropriate for this scenario? Of course not. You would most likely go with something that has just an open top. I mean why would you sport any other bag that would require the unzipping or unbuttoning of. I can understand maybe if some of you are concerned about your valuables perhaps getting stolen and this is understandable but as long as the bag is going to be within your sight and reach I don’t see a reason why you wouldn’t use anything but a bag that has a completely open top.

The primary reason you would use tote handbags in the first place is because you are hauling around a lot of stuff right? It the choice bag for you daily activities, for your comings and goings because its these day to day activities that require you to lug around the most things. This is exactly what separates the tote from other bags and even purses. You never see totes at formal events, of course not, such gatherings require elegance which in turn would bring out the high end and fashionable purses and bags or maybe just purses which are sleek and a fraction of the size that will carry all but your bare bone essentials.

As you already know handbags are part of every woman’s life so why not be discerning in your style and taste? Just keep in mind that its ultimately not how much you can afford for a bag, although it would be nice if the sky was the limit when making your purchases but unfortunately that is not the case for most of us, but if this excludes you then the rest of us are jealous of you and hate you as well. Just kidding of course, truly I am happy for you that you are blessed with that option. But this doesn’t exclude you from making poor fashion shopping desicions. High end designers are guilty of putting out some of the most horrendous bags to ever be made and actually sold to people without a sense of fashion and only just a sense of style for designer names. Yeah, yeah you may tell me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and this maybe true but I am covering the things that most people like and not things that will sound off the fashion police sirens if you know what I mean. Go ahead make your handbag shopping decisions on your own because ultimately you are the only person you should be listening to for your sense of style. Just remember no one is exempt from personal and public opinion.
